The Shade Tree Commission shall advise the Mayor and Council concerning the proper planting, care, ground maintenance, removal as well as possible administering of treatment to shade and ornamental trees and shrubbery. See Ordinance 2-21 for more about the Shade Tree Commission.
If you require a tree to be cut down, you must submit an application to be approved by the Tree Commissioner.
This Committe has 5 members. Members are appointed by the Mayor with consent of the Governing Body. All appointments are for 1 year and members will serve until their respective successors are appointed and qualified. All meetings are open to the public.
Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month at 7pm, Community Center.
